Maybe check with an unbiased source, like Consumer Reports. I think they reviewed the 3 a little while back, not sure though. They haven't reviewed the tc yet. Sometimes, people base their decisions solely on the feedback from owners of the cars in question as you've got to deal with their biases (whether they are positive or negative). For whatever reason, I'd bet that most people here will tell you that the tc is better than the 3. (Just as I'd tell you, for the money, the xb kicks the hell out of the element)

 

I also love the XA and XB, but need a few more horses..
