Default I contacted scion with a with a redesign requst, help out

basically I've noticed if the gas tank gets below 1/4 and you do tighter turns, heck i was do a long u-turn on I75/85, the car stalls for a sec, obviously from fuel getting away from the pump. the scion rep told me if scion documents 3 cases, they will make the starting move to look into the issue. no i would imagine this is not a serious issue, but it certainly shouldn't happen imo. if you guys have experienced this, feel free to call scion customer service and let them know about it.

Will do...I noticed this on the tight right handers at Streets of Willow this past weekend. Defenitely put a hurt on my lap times.

More info here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=93847

Im not sure what the fix would be (new gas tank with better baffling mybe) but it probably wont be simple. It would be nice if Scion addressed the issue and fixed the problem.

Anybody else have this problem?

like i hit the gas and the engine doesn't accelerate, in the turn, with low fuel, ya this isn't the biggest deal, but most car gas tanks are manufactured so this doesn't happen

When it happened to me, I would gas it hard out of a turn and the engine would kind of bog and then one the car leveled out it would accelerate agian. At first I though the clutch may have been slipping, but when the RPMs werent going up I realized it was a fuel issue. I was really suprised to see it start happening with a little more than 1/4 tank of fuel left. Knowing that I still have about 2 gallons when the light comes on means I had around 4-5 gallons of fuel in the car. The track is an extreme circumstance for this to happen but I can bet it could easily happen in other situations under normal conditions.

There's a series of corners on the road I can make it happen on when the car is around 1/8 of a tank, approximately 40mph, gas pedal slightly pushed in.

It's exactly like TI said. Car basically stalls out and then when it levels back off it picks up again. If this happened when you are flying into a corner with the pedal depressed, well lets just say we're lucky this is a FWD car. RWD that was mid drift with the backend a blaze would definately step out on you on the track if the fuel cut like it does on my car.

It's a bad design for the track! You have to make sure the car is above around 1/4 tank on the track. It's going to be interesting if we see some TC's experience this problem during the Celeb track event.
