Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but c'mon now, you know better than coming here and not leaving a story and/or a couple of pics.

And to answer your question, from what i've read about people and their repair jobs, it will take awhile to get parts in due to the fact that most of the parts manufactured for the tC go into the production of them.

well, i don't have a digital camera to take pics, but it's nothing too serious, it's still driveable, but i still get weird faces from ppl who look at the nice car and see like the hood popped up. but any idea how long it will take?? cuz i know it will be a while, but i dont' want to wait for months or something!

No clue, but my guesstimate is a month or two... max.

Been waiting 6 weeks for a few small interior pieces. Good luck. I hope you enjoy your rental car.

Not humorous, even if you were joking. No sub-$20k car is worth killing yourself over.

Let's amend that to say "no car or other possession is worth killing yourself over."

=\
well i was saying i would kill myself, (out of frustration of course) bc i have no other mode of transportation.

soooo my next question is..........you think any OTHER shops, i dunno, like other body shops could do it?? or is it only from the dealership, since only they can get the parts, or is it the same waiting time for all shops??

Problem you're probably going to run into is that b/c the TC is so new they are probably pushing out parts just to go on the cars as fast as possible and replacement parts are probably being mader per order.

This is probably obvious, but did you check to see if your insurance will cover a rental car?

I had to get a windshield ordered for my tc 3 weeks after it came out and it took 2 weeks to come cuz they needed to get it shipped from japan... I'm *assuming* that now they should be getting production of parts done a little quicker.. but im just taking a wild guess here..

But hey, if its a hood you need... You could always get a carbon fiber hood.. HAHA.. no dont do that
