Just curious...what do you mean by not getting a "stellar" deal?? It's a pure-priced car! I'm the Scion Manager at my store and I pay sticker just like anyone else does. "Sticker" on a pure-priced car is a whole lot different than sticker on any other car. With Scion, you are essentially getting just-over-invoice pricing without having to haggle for it. If you don't think you're getting a stellar deal, try pricing out a Civic EX coupe with similar features, or compare what was new pricing for an '05 Celica for an '05 tC. The tC is an AWESOME deal, and you're getting SO MUCH car for the money! If you need to haggle with someone to feel you're getting a great deal, you really do not have a clue, buddy.

After looking at it again, they do look the same. maybe the regular tails use regular bulbs and teh TYC use LEDs? maybe the website is gaffed? Maybe someone who works for a Scion Dealership can answer? ;)

By stellar deal, I meant comparatively to what someone else paid, not the price in general.

I realize the car itself is a great deal, but I was referring to price paid in comparison as said above .

And I really do have a clue, as this made the top of a very long list of cars that I demo'd and talked prices with.

Although the price on my car wasn't negotiable, they did add the floor mats and mud guards for free. It was the best car buying experience I've had. That, and the sales girl was hot

I hope you know that you quoted another poster and stuck my name into the quote

I never said such things so dont make up quotes about me,
honestly, getting all flamey in your post towards me about something I never said, is really uncalled for.

nice pics, but the reason why some people do not like the new headlights, is due to the oddly shaped lens. the angles of the pics you posted kind of hide that. the lens shape is pretty apparent on the other pictures posted here. If the headlight lens was shaped without the rather offensive looking bulge, theyd be very nice.

Hang on.. I never did such thing. It's a glitch with the forum formatting that started when she quoted me and got passed on. So take a deep breath & don't blame this on me.

I'm not even going to begin to try to sort out who said what, but read back a few posts and see for yourself.

EDIT:: I think I fixed it.. (in this post)

I'm still trying to decide if I like the headlights or not.

Who cares about the damn headlights, tail lights and grill. those are probably the easiest modifications that can be made.

I'm still trying to figure that out....

Most of the people complaining about these features don't even have these as OEM on their cars anyway...

huh?

I just think the new lights do not go with the body lines. There was nothing wrong with the stock 05-07 headlights, all they needed was a projector and smoked eyelid. Personally, I think lighting design can make or break the exterior. If this was the first tC, I probably would have went with another car, probably a BMW. I would like to not have to modify the headlights, so I keep away from retro-fit pic threads..too much temptation.

from a Scion to BMW? Interesting.

I like the front headlights. Makes it look a bit like an S40.

actually I was on my way down to the Ford dealership to put down some money on a GT, and if they didn't work out a good deal, there was an '04 Bimmer for sale by owner and he was waiting to hear back from me. On the way to the Ford dealership, a tC caught my eye....awe sweet story...ok, back to the topic...

A BMW? Please show me a 17k$ brand new BMW. From my knowledge the cheapest model is the 328i hovering at a shade above 30k. A 150$ set of upgraded headlights... or spending another 17k on the car itself.......

All for what? waiting 5 days for UPS and 20 minutes of your time?

EDIT:: I will add that I do not disagree with you. I think certain new features on this car need to be fixed or shouldn't have changed. I will be buying a set of 07 tails. I'm just trying to point out it isn't that big of a deal...

The Bimmer was $28k cash, but had miles and I wanted a new car. If I couldn't walk out of the dealership with a GT for under $28k I was gonna go with the BMW. The tC I've always wanted since I first saw one, and just happened to see one fully loaded for under blue book, of course I jumped on that and saved my money for other toys...
