Well, really I love my car. A lot. Thing is, I wish I bought a white one. Why on Earth was I standing on the lot thinking I wanted the FM instead of the white?

Just think about it. White goes good with any color; you can do body parts and just paint them whatever color you want or just add vinyl all *****-nilly and still love your car.

FM goes great with carbon fibre lips, hoods, deck lids, fenders. Non CF needs to be paint matched which for FM is a total PITA. CF costs $$$$$ and paint adds up quickly.

Considering trading in. This forum makes me hate FM so much. I look at all the sexy white tcs and I want to kick my car.


My color justification at the stealership went something like this (mind you I live in the dusty/sandy town on Las Vegas).

"hmmm. white. red. sparkly grey/black thingy color. Well red will grab the attention of the cops and I do enough of that on my own, sooooo no red.

White stains if not cleaned VERY regularly and this is a dirty @$$ town.

This other color (FM) would hide sand and light dirt really well and the color helps it blend in at night.

But the white looks so good. But you never wash your car, get real.

BUT THE WHITE LOOKS SO GOOD. I really do never wash my car.

Ah screw it. I will take the flint mica."



Since I had this conversation with myself and then lost the argument, also with myself, I have proceeded to wash my FM car about every 400 miles. So roughly every 10-12 days. That would work well with white paint. I should've bought the white one.

 

your a mess...lol..the Flint Mica was the nicest color for that car Hands Down so enjoy it

when i am driving it it isn't an issue. It's just when I am looking at it. Which is pretty often. I even compared the FM and the SW threads and it just makes me angry.

If by freak chance someone out there wants to color sway their SW for FM panels PM me. It's cheaper than paint. My 2010 has about 8k miles and zero damage.

Fingers crossed, even though I know it won't happen. I keep justifying having it to myself.

i wish i had white also,but all they had ay my dealership was silver,which was second color on my list,the only colors i like on the scions are silver and white,not to dark and not to light

 

White stays cleaner longer than dark colors, what are you talking about -_-

I <3 my FM yeah i love the white one I agree that you can do alot with White, but if you have a nice clean FM its just oohh so nice to look at. With the right parts and right attitude make your car into something good. Use its color to its advantage.

Nothing wrong with FM:

 

i love the car, but IMO it would look so much better SW. Granted that car is definitely sexy as heck as it sits, but my preference still lies with the white. I am going to try something out with paint in a couple weeks. maybe then I might change my opinion.

but seriously. That car is hot. lip/skirt/wheel/spring combo is the sex. on second thought that might actually look best as FM.

Just take a look at jeremydoc's thread, his FM will make you love your color, if i'm not mistaken, that's actually jeremy's car up there, granted a little old, he has diff rims now..

But what's the problem with trading it in for a white? Don't feel like going through the hastle? Making payments on it?

The problem I have with trading in on a white one is starting the payments over again. I am making payments now and having only bought it last December, I still owe more than BB value thanks to my purchasing the extended maintenance package that covers all maintenance/problems until 75k or 7 years. But not by much. My frequency/size of payments is kicking it down quickly. By the time the fr-s comes out I should have about 2-3k in positive value, that is assuming that it comes out in April or May.

I just kick myself for not getting the white. I am trying to find someone that can come up with a red version of the FM. You know, a dark red very metallic that would be similar, but different.I love black or white with red accessories, and since FM isn't either one it has to be a similar type of metallic. If one of you fantastic photoshoppers out there could show me a full lip kit (any kit. just looking for an idea of how it would look) on a FM but where the lips are reddish I would be thrilled.
