I get that a lot not at night, but during the day in parking lots. I like to park far away where there arent any cars, and I get police coming up to me asking me what Im doing and what the reason is for me being there.

This is in shopping areas btw.

But I understand their position, its suspiscous. Usually I just tell them I dont want people dinging my doors and they just drive away.
If I take pics late at night in a parking lot, I usually run it by security there before I take pics and its all good.

there are a couple of worse situations that took me off guard.
this was when I had a shaved head. One time I came across my old high school professor and we began having a friendly conversation, than a sheriff comes up from behind me and directly asks my professor "is this man harrassing you!", both of us looked at the sheriff puzzled and said "no, we know each other" and he walked away.

another time I was walking to my car and security rolled up and accused me of trying to steal my own car. Made me show them my license, registration and proof that my keys opened the car's door.

yeah i understand it being suspicious... the first thing i thought pulling into the parking lot was, "watch me get in trouble for this"

he called in my plate number and i heard them saying my name and address over the radio and then he ran my ID to check whatever they check.
i was just being such a smart a$$ to him because i could tell that i had more education out of elementary school than this guy had. he had a big wad of dip in his mouth and was spitting all over the damn place.

i think he thought i was casing the place to break in or something. haha it was a county building with nothing but desks and crap anyway. it was just stupid. right as i turned to get into my car 3 other cops pulled up. i was like, do these cops have nothing better to do?[/quote]

While I understand suspicion to a degree, something like this would make me act like a total ___. Not 'overtly' just enough so that I was polite, yet subtley sarcastic at the same time.

I'd not have shown a rent-a-cop my license, I'd just hop in my car and drive away. "You wanna see if it starts, oh look...I guess it did."

its strange. the only people that told me they didnt like the decals were scion drivers. it seems like everyone else i show like them.

oh well, i like them. they set me apart from all the other tCs whether it be in a good or bad way.

Nice whip. Not a fan of the sticker but it'd be a boring world if we all liked the same thing.

One time I was showing my friends my underbody kit when I first put it on and one of my friends mom happened to be there. Cop rolled up and thought that me and my friends were giving my friends mom some trouble. The mom just said No and said that we were her sons friends and they left as fast as they arrived. Luckily I turned my underbody lights off a few seconds before they turned onto his block. Woulda been bad if they were on while the cops rolled up.

The spoiler I like. The decals are more a personal thing. I wouldn't use them, but it ain't my car. Looks fine to me.

I disagree. I like 'em that high. When I got my new one and came home for the first time, I was paranoid I was going to hit the lil space marker in the parking lot but I had a good inch or two clearance over it. Much improved over my Civic, which I always seemed to scrape on those damned things.
