I have 3k for modding
Hello everyone. I'm new here and have been an owner of an '09 Tc for a few months now. Recently I got a summer job which nets me around 1k a month. I'm looking for some insight and suggestions on some worthwhile mods that's within the 3k range. Right now I'm leaning towards suspension mods and maybe a lip kit, but I want to hear what some of the experience regulars here have to say. Thanks and I'm looking forward to hearing your guys' suggestions.
put on coilovers. that will be around 800-900. no springs cus if u are gonna spend the money might as well be coilovers. Then slap on a lipkit i guess if your not sure what route ur going. turbo or what not you might as well save up if your going to do that.

Not sure if it has crossed your mind... but how about paying down the car? Or maybe put $2k to the loan and $1k to parts?
Beyond that... what are you going to be doing with your car? Only a daily driver or maybe some autocross or track days in the future? Anything like that?
At the very least...
1. Rear sway bar.
2. Lowering springs OR Coilovers - $$ dependent
3. Wheels / tires for summer. Keep your OEM wheels for snow tires/winter.

put money to pay it off. i am going to net about 4k and that is all going to the car because after next year when i graduate, school loans are gonna start being paid and having no car payment will be great.
good luck tho!
i would do coilovers and a lip kit and HIDs.
post pics when you are done.

Ever since my old car died (I use to roll in a '96 Chrysler Voyager
As to what I'm going to be doing to my car I'm a daily driver. Just want a nice looking ride to cruise in, and avoid turning it into one of those "ricers" (too many civics around my area with two or three tone sprayed paint jobs rolling around with stickers on them). Would 3k be enough for a lip kit, springs or coilovers (not sure which yet), and some new wheels?
Depending on which lip kit (5 axis is clean) that could cost you about $1000+paint and you can probably install yourself. Coilovers would be about another $1k and another self install. Wheels... depends on what you want. Anything from a couple hundred to a couple thousand if you really want.

As for mods, definitely start with your suspension. Coils or springs, whichever you prefer, and the sway bar.
