Default I just discovered I have satellite radio

I've had my car for a month (tC) and was playing with the radio. The satellite button works with Sirius radio. The strange thing is I didn't order it or activate it. The dealer never mentioned it. The audio manual mentions about XM radio, but not Sirius.

Is this some special trial period for the '07 tC's?

I think I heard of dealerships giving one month free satellite radio but i never got it when i bought my scion. You might wanna talk to the guy who you bought your scion from, and maybe check your window sticker.

i got 9 months free with mine because i had 2 wait for mine to come in. Depends on your dealer what kind of deal you get just call them up or call up sirius customer sevice activate your subscription because im guessing your only listening to the handful of channels avaliable for free. you shouldnt have to pay i havent given them any credit card info or anything im still on my trial. Call up get it activated they'll tell you how many months you get free and activate it for free you'll be happy you did.

I almost consider activating it through my Head Unit.
That way I dont have to bring in my JVC Plug and Play.

Have you tried to access all the stations? It's my understanding that you can get about 6 stations without subscribing to the service. That's the way my Sirius worked before the dealer activated it, activation simply enabled access to the additional stations. If you can get all the stations, then the dealer must have activated it for free without telling or charging you, but I'm sure it'd be a limited time in that case.

It looks like only some of the stations are active.

OK, then you need to activate....set the radio to channel 255 (I am pretty sure) and it will give you a 12 digit number you need to give Sirius and they will turn it on.

I can't live without my Sirius...............

Artie rocks!!!!!!!!!

I got a letter from Sirius, I'm getting a 9 month free subscription from my dealer. I had them activate it today. It took a few tries but finally it activated. They took no credit card info, which is good.
