Default I JUST WRECKED MY BABY AND SHE MIGHT BE GETTING TOTALED OUT

so i was on this 5 lane road with my 09 tc in the turn lane about to pull into these apartments and i had the right away no cars where coming so i went and this stupid old lady pulled out of this parking lot went into the oncoming traffic and she hit me turning. She hit me so hard it knocked me back into the turn lane and bent my frame, tore something in the suspension because the car wont go straight now and now my engine has a lot of valve noise and the car wont run properly. At high RPM's i lose all my power and the car bogs down. now get this the car is still driveable and looks ok except for the hood over lapping the fender and the paint missing and that my front end is curved to one side a little.

How did the old lady hit you so hard it bent your frame and what not without causing major damage to the body?

Did she hit you in the wheel somewhere? Need more info on where she hit.

If she clobbered you in the wheel it should still have caused pretty substantial body damage, plus the car wouldn't be driveable in that situation so i'm baffled.

Wow that sucks. I don't know about being totalled, but the dealership can reset the airbag light pretty simply, they just hook it up to a computer and put weights on the seat and reset it. Shouldn't cost 700 bucks.

Good luck though

well basically as i was turning she pulled out in front of me so i tried stopping to avoid her and some how the side of her car caught my front end and pushed me back into the turn lane that's all i know that happened. but after the wreck i was driving home and i noticed my car was pulling horrible to the right side so i stopped by the part store to show my friend what happen he goes the bodies not to bad except that nothing on the front lines up any more then he looks under my tc and goes holly crap she bent your frame.

The way you explained it, to me it sounds like you hit her. I'm sure you didn't and it was her fault but it doesn't look very cut and dry so if you have witnesses you'll probably need them.

What did the cop say when he showed up? Whats the police report say?

Also if it isn't too out of shape they'll probably just straighten it rather than totalling it out. Straightening the front portion of the frame is cheaper than the 10k that needs to total the car out. But it'll be close with the other damage.

honestly im not to sure the cop didn't discuss that with me but i know the lady got a ticket. and it shouldn't have been my fault because she was in a hurry to go and went into the oncoming lane when no cars where coming as i was turning just to get around me. her excuse to the cop was the lane was full of cars and the only open spot was in front of me.

theres just a lot more people with tC's so the chances of one getting in a car accident are higher. I'm sure honda's and mazdas are the same thing.
