I love catching criminals
Ah Chicopee, I know thee well. Thermos, do you know a guy named Joe Mruck by anychance? He's from Chicopee originally.
Either way, you should press charges. Breaking the law should be punished, regardless of if he's in the military or not. You don't have to worry about feelings or anything like that. If he didn't want to get charges pressed on him, he wouldn't have broken the law in the first place.
To the retribution comment, he'll be the first and most probably suspect if it happens so if you've already got charges against him the police will have a mighty easy time wrapping up that case too.

As much as I hate to say it... I say charge him... the other thing is.. if he has pending pot charges... the service will toss him out on his head anyway..
Ofcourse..... it could be fun to see him deploy.. get caught stealing .. and have a hand cut off.....

You could hook up a video camera. I know cameras can be cheap, but the only hassle would be hooking it up to a recorder. I had a whole security camera system hooked up outside for around 300 but I already had a recorder which was my computer. You could also use a vcr if you can find one. I would press charges if it were me. I agree with the aspect that him being in the military should mean you hold yourself to a higher demeanor than civilians. http://www.homesecuritystore.com/c-4...y-cameras.aspx
Military... Just charge him. Cops have a hard on for them. The week after I got out of the Corps, they charged me with illegal firework possession on 4th of July...
If they charged me for that... You should charge him for stealing your stuff... Big difference.

As the story goes, he stole 1 wheel because he crashed into a curb and wrecked one. On top of being a horrible criminal and stealing from one block from his home, he also fails at driving. Loser.

One reason not to press charges is I am getting my stuff back, and the insurance doesn't want their money back from me. So I actually made our pretty well.
i am a firm believer that military and law enforcement personnel should hold themselves to a higher standard than other members of society..it is unfortunate to see things like this happen. Press charges
My younger days me and my crew used to steel lots of cars and rims....never learn my lesson till i get caught and had to pay up for my mistakes........soooooooo You have to do it; just to give the kid a wake up call.........crazy days doing foolish things lmao at least i learned MAKE him learn!!!
