There is no cheap insurance in New Jersey. Only really, really expensive and slightly less expensive. It's cheaper to move.

Try http://www.einsurance.com/ I see it advertised, but I don't know how good their rates are.

I honestly don't know what the insurance companies are basing their quotes on. State Farm does not even have the tC in their database.

I cannot see them classifying this as a sports car. A 4 cylinder with only 160HP and no turbo/supercharger should not be treated any differently then a Camry or Accord.

I have State Farm here in GA and they had it in their system already. It is not considered a sports car here, just a regular 2 door hatchback.

Let me get this straight, you first post how you got the car up to 95mph on a public road, then _____ about insurance prices?

First step to lower insurance prices would be to remove your head from your ___.

Sometimes if you have AAA you can get insurance thru them and it will be cheaper......or get another car if the insurance is that high.....Good Luck

"State Farm does not even have the tC in their database. "

Sure they do. How else would it be listed on my latest insurance bill?

I'm with allstate paying about $100ish a month ... but that's also under my parents plan ... they both have perfect records and have since they were 16. I'm 19 with a perfect record.

When I was shopping for my tC late July/early August, State Farm did not have the tC in the database and had to quote me based on the price of the car. Only Allstate did.

Make sure when you shop around you look check on any discounts available that might not be readily broadcast, like progressive has discounts if you belong to certain clubs like AAA (was about $150/yr off). I see you're 20, try to see if they will give you good student if you're still in school. Or a def drivers course will also usually knock ~$100/yr off.

Shop around but don't skimp on your coverages just to save a few bucks, its not worth it. A good way to reduce your ins rates is just to boost your deductible. It hurts to see collision deductible go from 500 to 1000, but if you're going to save $500 a year, you'll be coming out ahead soon enough.

YO!!! Can anyone post on this site without getting burned for it. How bout just give the man the info he asked for and don't worry about his driving habits. If he wishes to drive that fast then it's absolutely his responsability and eventually he'll be liable for anything that happens as a result of it. My 2 cents for the a-holes out there.

Yo go with State Farm... There are ways to get their rates down like, multiple car insurance, a good GPA in school or other things that they may have like life insurance or something. All that stuff carries some discounts with them. I pay about $189 for my TC.

peace

I can believe that he got the car up to that(NOT that it is a good idea or even smart.... but hey if he wants to be stupid so be it, hell I have gotten mine up to 100 miles and hour, but htat was because I was trying to get past a drunken ___, also not smart and I was scared as hell after I did, it 1st and last time.). But who says the salesperson was even in the car? I have taken test drives without the salesman.

I test drove a Saab a couple of months ago w/o the saleperson in the car...or are you only talking about Scion...or are you only talking about Michigan...or maybe you don't know what you are talking about.
