Pics of my new car and previous car:

Well, my dealer got my flint mica earlier than expected. They installed the tint/alarm/leather and I went up and got it Saturday. I had a short wait... placed my name on the list on the 1st of Oct and it was ready on the 14th. I live in Houston but purchased from Atkinson Scion in College Station. I put the first 100 miles on pretty quick coming home . My parents knew Paul Atkinson before I was born so I pretty much had to get the car from there. I don't regret it one bit. They took excellent care of me. (But Paul likes to put his name via the much hated stickers on the back of the cars. You can prevent them from doing this by request, unfortuntely they got mine before I could tell them as you will see in the pics. I already removed it with goo gone.)

Some things about the car I love and didn't know: the interior lights dimming up and down; the orange dash and controls at night; auto headlights; power point in the arm rest (wish it stayed on though); locking gas door.

It drives quiter and smoother than I expected. So far I have no rattles but I only have 200 miles on it...even with rattles I'd still love this car.

I have driven 185 miles on this tank and it is just a hair below half.

My best friend has fallen in love with it and wants one of his own. I like it twice as much as I thought I would. The leather made a huge difference for me... feels and looks great.

So, cheers to me for joining the band wagon. To those of you who are still waiting: have patience! It's worth it!

Congrats on the new Tc HughDTX! Glad to see you are okay after your accident. I know the feeling. I rolled and totalled one of my BMW 3-series about 10 years ago. Was not a pleasant experience. Sitting upside down strapped into the seat belt and every piece of glass on the car shattered. Totally scary.

Easy explanation ... the car was not running when I took that picture. The key was in "ON" position and at that position several of the dash lights light up as a test. So.... as soon as I start her up they all turn off.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread I took it off as soon as I got home. It came off just by peeling it and then I used Goo Gone to remove the goo.

Default Did you...

HughDTX,

did you have a proximity sensor sytem that disables the ignition when a special tag is present. a friend bought the tC and had one, when he bought it at Atkinson; but my dealership doesn't install them.
