Default I think my car is hexed...

OK, I seriously think my car has a hex on it.

I got the car on June 30, 2005. Since then I have been:

1. Hit and ran in my drivers door so bad it bent the cross member and required a complete replacement - 3 days after buying the car - $1200

2. Rear ended AND sideswiped - 2 months after buying the car - $12,500

3. Someone dropped something on my hood and dented it requiring a complete repaint - 2 weeks ago - $425

4. Hit the biggest pothole known to man, bending two rims and blowing out a tire - last Friday - $475

I am seriously considering dumping this car off at the dealer for a trade in and even if I take a hit, just getting a brand new one...

Thoughts/comments/charity?

i know I would. if you plan on keeping it for awhile, i'd say get a new one. your repair costs almost equal the cost anyways.

I honestly would drive it off a cliff if insurance covered it and got me a new one!

Anyway, I'm thinking about maybe trading this one in a getting the rs2.0

My condolences.... That pothole did that much damage???? Wow, I think I'll avoid potholes like the plague from now on. But it's true just like TheQuietThings said, just be glad your car isn't a $40k car. Oh yea and have someone but a blessing on your car, it'll cancel out the hex right?

Well, with 12,500.00 damage, I would have fought like hell to have had the vehicle a total loss and bought another. I had one totalled out that was on a test drive fby heleotrophic and it had $11,000.00 damage. As far as the pothole. I hit one that the city of baton rouge cleaned out to be filled and the idiots went to lunch and did not put any cones around the hole. 2 19" enkei RPF 1 and one Toyo Proxy. These were bent to the point that they were twisted, cracked, and beyond even the kings mens ability. I have found that 18 inch rims with a 40 series tire takes much more abuse that a 35 series tire, Food for thought.

The reason why I didn't fight it was because the body shop I took it to does excellent work and if it was totaled, I would owe money on the car...which is a waste.

I'm thinking about the RS2.0 right now, the local dealer near me has one in right now.

I already got all new rims and tires, so I'm good on that front.

Yea, once I get the new rims and tires, I'll also replace the front brakes and polish her up....I'll drive it for a bit and then probably go ahead and trade it in.

Only thing that sucks is the fact that I'm a year into paying this thing off already and I'm going to take a huge hit no doubt on the trade in...

....How could you have not seen a pot of hole of that magnitude....

Maybe it's YOUR lack of attention on the road that's getting you into all this trouble, not a ..."Hex". Just my 0.2 Cents....
