This vehicle is a freakin' mobile home. Come on now, how many two-door cars do you know of that have a freakin' bed in it??? Come on now. All we need now is for Scion to offer a toilet as an accessory, and it'd be official.

$#%*@#!!!.

I'm guessing by "bed" you mean with the back two seats down. Yeah im pretty surprised how much room there is back there, just grab a pillow, open the roof, and goodnight.

Actually, I meant the front seats... But the back seats work too... but you get a more "shock and awe" effect from showing people the front seat effects...

Also doubles as a flatbed truck. Just fold passenger seat flat, fold down rear seat and BAM! 10-foot truck bed! I carried 10-foot boards to my house from Home Depot. The tC is the best, most versitle car ever.

10 feet? What's the length, if anybody knows, of the average truck bed?

6ft for a standard, 7 for a "long bed" model.

It is also great for hauling four wheels with tires and your 4 snow tires to the place where you are getting them mounted. Yea, the bed has definitely paid for itself.

yes the tC back seats are freaking awesome...just cant use them if u have a sound system that takes up the whole trunk..like mine does so the back 2 seats are functional at the moment

yes you can and it is in the manual.
Scion descibed it as a "Social Area" at some point.

I get the oddest looks from people when I descibe this ability that the tC has.
One woman once replyed: "That sounds like a pick up line if I've ever heard one."

Just to be sure, you know if you take the headrests off the front seats and slide them as far forward as they go that they connect seamlessly with the backseats when leaned as far back as they go right? thats what he means by bed. quite handy in a pinch let me tell you.

My Dad, recently retired, runs a Handyman biz out of Laguna Beach. You have no idea how many parts I've hauled in the back of my tC. I have a canvas drop cloth at home in case of nasty parts.

Awesome payload capacity. For some of the larger jobs, I've pulled it in to the lumber yard at hardware stores. I always get really strange looks, pulling like three carts over to my car and unloading them into the hatch. I think I've out-cargoed a few work trucks.

You are right...it's not a coupe or a hatchback.

If you look at the sticker from your car it's a Scion tC - fastback.

Yeah..........before the seasons changed, I could sleep in my tc over night on roadtrips........... saves on hotel rentals. This was back when gas was 2.99 a gallon and hotel rates were 175-359 per night at summer events carabana ceder point and places like that. Thats the only reason I could go, saving 200 on hotels every night......... but this isn't for everybody that needs comfort 24/7 (woman )
