My best friend owns a GTP and he says my TC is crap all the time. So i wanted to get peoples opinions. lol. Personally i think the TC is better only cuz every time he mods his car it breaks. haha
Well according to Pontiacs website, there are three models of the Grand Prix. The sedan (base), the GT (1up), and the GXP (2up). The sedan is based at 200 hp, the GT has 260 hp, and the GXP has 303 hp. Just based on those numbers, the Grand Prix is a better performace car stock compared to a stock tC.
Now you said your friend has a GTP so either he has a GT or a GXP or maybe an older model that carried the badge GTP.
Just because a car "breaks" which im entirely sure what that means when it is modded doesn't discredit its ability to perform. Different cars mod differently and depending on the skill of the modder, the age of the car, the nature of the mod, the car will react differently.
I own a 93 v6 Pontiac Firebird. It has eibach springs, bilstein shocks, Pace Setter headers, Flowmaster catback, G2 CAI. Since moding (and this mods were put on at a shop) the car rattles a little more cause of this and that. But the car isn't broken. I did however screw up my engine a little when trying to install underdrive pulleys in my friends garage, but that "breaking" was because of human error, not the car.
I know this isn't on topic, but it is on poll topic so just thought I would chime in.

I think he mean the late 90' model, which is supercharged and on the low to mid 200hp. I think they are on the mid 14 second in the 1/4 mile. So to anwer ur question, the GTP will take u on the straight. U def need more than just an axleback
