As long as it's on your glass only, you'll be fine. Glass is pretty hard. If the scraper doesn't, the bristles won't.

just keep that thing away from your paint!!!

I can see it now... *fade from black* you're scrubbing the ice and snow off of your windshield with great force and you learn over a bit too far and press really hard to get that last bit of ice off and the scraper flies out of your hand.... *enter super-slo-mo* in the background you can hear "nnnnnooooooooooooO!!!!" as the ice scraper bounces once... twice.... pinging off your hood chipping off the paint with every bounce.... three times.... *THUD* onto the ground.... *pan shot out showing the extreme dismay on your face.. the wind and snow slowly collecting on your bestilled outreached arm.... pan far back... fade to black.....*

One of the stupid things I did years ago in my Ford Escort was to try to "shovel" 15 inches of snow from my hood. I thought I did a good job but when it melted, I left 2-3 nice streaks on my hood.

Yeah, as long as you stick to the glass you should be okay.

I brush the snow off my car with the scraper's brush, but you need to make sure it doesn' touch the paint. So, I leave an inch or two of snow on the car and take off the other 10
