anyone else feel the same way -- tranny is easily breakable and insurance on a reg wrx is high?

 

well the tranny was weak on the previous models, now its not to bad.

however insurance is still killer

 

even on the reg sti's is that just cuz it is turbo'd? i would think since it is a 4 door they might balance out a bit.

 

no, my cuz has one, and he pays alot for insurance.

its a turbo'd car, doesnt matter if it has sixteen doors, it would still cost a grip. also, you are only 19, that will play a big role.

 

Hmm I could find plenty used s2k's and used M3s for under 20k around my area ... no problem

wrx are still an insurance killer. I think I was quoted for $2600 every 6months. But I am 17. If you look around you can get one for 17,000. I almost bought one for that price until I saw how high insurance was. But, I'd go with something that could be a "sleeper", it's just more fun that way.

 

i want something that stock looks semi-modded and has the hp of a semi modded car -- only thing i would need to do to wrx is new wing and a slight lower!

 

Make sure you look around, taking a bit of a trip for the right car for the right price is worth it, I found www.cars.com was really helpful for when I was looking for a car. Good luck finding what you want. =]

 

like i said Black 2004 WRX is what i want. they go for like 15-17k depending on mileage

or even an older lexus sc300 I think it is.. it's a nissan 240 with the lexus emblem on it.. or I guess a nice older 240 then.. around a '97 or so.. old ladies actually have a lot of these, and they're not modded or driven rough and they're still clean
