Please stop posting. Your profile originally said 13 and now you changed it to 24 but you're not fooling anyone.

I think you fall into the category of the very few halfbreed...

I truly enjoy driving my TC. I frequently forget that I'm driving a $16,700.00 car! Nobody that I show or taken for a ride in it believes that I paid less that $19,000.00 for it!

If I had to compare it to a car that I have driven... I would have to say it"s on par with a Lexus for build quality(minus the hatch rattle). The overall performance is somewhat impressive considering the pricepoint of the car given the horsepower and transmisions gear ratios.

Just my 2 cents...

Same here. My friends mom gets in my car and starts firing away questions. How much was this car, yada yada yada. She than asks me 5 more times how much throughout the ride. I say around 17k+tax, license, etc. She couldn't believe it.

I would compare it to the Acura RSX (not type S), Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Tiberon, Mini Cooper (not type S), Nissan Sentra, Dodge Neon, and Chevy Cavalier... All of which in my humble opinion, beside the RSX, don't come close to the tC in style, performance, and options etc. And for all the higher performance versions of the cars I mentioned, my answer to them is the super charged tC (whenever they decide to release it)

You can't forget the Mazda 3. I feel this car is the only one that is true competition for the tC.

Yeah, maybe in the area of overall performance. But you have to admit that asthetically the TC blows away the Mazda 3. It's exterior seems too busy. Unlike the TC's smooth lines and angles!

mmmmm indeed! i'm getting my windows tinted soon. step by step, based on my money. ive got my sub in, my springs on, then my exhaust is next, then tint. gonna be very nice when its done.

anyway, i dont see the mazda3 as real competition strictly because its not a stylish coupe. it has 4 doors. that right there pulls it from my list when i was looking. the only thing i was comparing were the civic Si and base rsx. both of which were nearly 20,000$, had the same power, less torque, neither look as nice, the Si looks like a minivan and you cant get it in red anyway, and the rsx just doesnt justify itself being more expensive than the tC (about 2 grand more than my RS1).

honestly, as soon as i saw a red RS1 tC, there was no thinking necessary.

also add pontiac g6 and subaru impreza 2.5 hatch, or vw golf. Also about the sentra, you could pick up a basic altima for 17, a sentra would run a few grand less. I guess you could get the sentra SE-R for about 17 also.

Out of those I would consider the impreza, but you would still spend more money then a tC and wish everyday you saved for your wrx! tC is a great deal for the money.

I am curious why you hate your car halfbreed?

Tell me about it. My brother had a 99 VR6 Jetta. It hauled ___, but pretty much fell apart mechanically and also somewhat interioir wise after four and a half years. He traded it in for his now worked(pushing around 380hp at the wheels) Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi quad cab. Now that thing hauls, and sounds frigin' awesome!!
