I tried to get some rolling shots today. Not too bad for my first try but they aren't really that great. I had to process them a lot to get them looking decent. I was kinda getting the hang of it at the end though, I think I had my iso and exposure off but I got the shutter speed almost perfect.







Any tips are greatly appreciated, I'm not using a rig or anything just two cars going 15 mph haha.

 

looks good for a first try.
try going a little faster, at least 30mph.
most of the ones i do, we go 40+

we were going 45...and the picture specs are
exposure 1/50
aperture f/5.6
ISO 200

another thing too. Since you shoot canon put it on "TV" mode. Much easier since all you control is exposure and ISO. Camera takes care of the aperture.

 

Thanks 08, I was doing 15 so I'll try faster next time. I was in TV mode just had my stupid ISO too low.

Those settings are going to help me a lot though, thanks a bunch.

 

i usually do about 60 and shoot at 1/40-1/80 depending on how much motion blur you want.

who did the camera work and who drove?

 

My Girlfriend drove the car and I was shooting out my friends slammed bouncy ___ hardbody.

Sure thing. I am leaning towards the bio pvc but I may get suede. I heard the suede fades after a while. My sister just got a new Lexus ES350 and her leather makes me jealous lol.
