ditto.
tCs aren't selling now because people are overpricing them and they're really not that uncommon (and will never be uncommon). i'm there is alot of people out there planning to do the same as you , however, newsflash: the tCis not a collector car. but it is sweet nonetheless.

I'm not touching my tC, It's bad enough to sit back and watch all the ricers turn this car into the next trashy import machine. I'm sure i'll end up selling it for something a little higher-end next summer anyway.

Thats great... but I dont sell my cars for years unless they turn out to be a POS, in which case the resale will suck anyway... If it is a good car it will have 150k on it before i am done with it. I look at it this way.. cars are a dumb investment if that is how they are treated, you will always lose money on them. If I get one that is a good car, why make payements forever when I can pay it off in a few years and have no payments for a few more? If I was planning on just selling and rebuying every few years.. I would just go get ripped off on a lease. And if you sell in the private market and be patient, given you have used smart, good quality mods, you can usually get as much or more for it in the end, unless you have driven it to death.

Why is everyone worried about a collector car, or what group you are in if you mod it .. or stupid little things like that? Iy you like it and you like your mods.. then that is all that matters. And for the people that group all mods into the "rice" category... get a clue. I know plenty of cars out there that look clean and stock... and pack 12lbs of boost under the hood... that is just plain fun... Like I said. its MY car, and I could care less what others think. I have too much confidence in my persona to base my self image on an in animate object.

In my experiences, the car is more likely to sell with decent mods. Now, if you "rice" it out and it looks dumb, that is another story. Most people that are going to buy the tC are going to dump $ into it anyways, so a better buy if they are already on.....
