Question Important Key question...

Hello guys, I Bought my scion TC 2005 some months ago, It came with one key, and then I purchased a key remote uncut from eBay ( $44) and went to the Toyota dealer to get it cut and programmed ( $125 ) yeah I know it sucks, all that after they were telling me how it might not be able to be programmed because it was bought on eBay and all that.. Almost 2 hours and a half later the guys came: your key was programmed successfully.

Last week I lost that key and I hate having just one key, and this is my question. I went to home depot and they can cut and program a transponder chip key that will work just fine, unlock the car and turn it on to drive it for $75, no buttons though. So If I buy the uncut key with the remote online again get it cut and transfer the transponder of the key home depot makes to the new one, will it work? I asked if they could program the key I bought online and I would pay the same $75 and the guy said that he couldn't. And I don't want to waste time and more money going back to the stealership.

I went today to another home depot to try to get the one I bought online programmed, and the annoying lady kept saying : " we can't program outside keys" like a robot... it might have a different chip, then I say: Cut mine I'll pay the $79 and it it doesnt work then, my loss.. she said no...
