I'm just curious... do most of you guys install your own parts or pay someone to do it? I don't have a tC yet, mind you. I'm just curious because I probably couldn't do it myself. Btw, my first upgrade would prbably be teh Fidanza Flywheel if that works as an example. How would you go about installing a part?

Cosmetic things I do myself if possible. Anything engine/drivetrain related (besides an intake and axle back exhaust) I'd pay someone to do it.

Yes, a lot of us do install our own parts, or have friends who can help install.

As far as your Flywheel installation, it isn't that hard, just a little time consuming, couple hour job.

Being that your really close to many of us in SoCal, I know it wouldn't be hard to get anything installed. Once you get your tC, hit up Chris (06scionxb), he is in Baldwin Park, he'll beat anyones price and a great guy. Very well known in the scion community.

sometimes it\'s good to get a beat up old car as a first car. that way you can tinker with it and not worry about screwing something up.

i learned alot about cars from working on my old beaters.

My first car was $900 and I did all sorts of **** to it and wasn\'t scared about screwing something up.

Unless it's really involved, I'll give it a go. So far, only thing I paid to have installed was my shocks and springs. You can't really appreciate a mod unless you say you did it yourself.
