Default Intake and Exhaust OR Wheels and Tires

So, obviously Christmas is coming up and I can't decide whether to ask for TRD inake and TRD exhaust or the matte black TRD wheels and some nice tires. Quite the predicament! Also, just to throw it out there, I am in PA so I probably wouldn't be able to put the wheels on until it warms back up because of snow. Anyhow, let me know what your thoughts are.

I think it depends completely on what you plan to do with the car. I'm about to get into AutoX, so I'd take the tires and lighter rims. If you're into to (legal) drag racing, the exhaust and intake wouldn't be a bad idea, although the better tires would benefit you there too. I just love the feel of brand new tires. Just got new Falken's lat week. I've been hunting for new winding roads. Ha

What I normally do (i live in utah) is to wait until spring come up and then start modding or buy parts for the car.

In the snow states, we get tons of ice and salt so its a pain in the butt to keep it clean and what happen if you got a new rims and then you skid out of control due to black ice or whatever and you hit a curb?.... ouch...

It's up to you.

If you want to go faster, go with the performance stuff.

If you want your ride to look good then go with the wheels.

Just decide what's more important to you.

IMO,

If you're getting these as a gift......Get the wheels cause they'll probably cost more lol.

That makes it easier to save up and buy an intake/exhaust later down the road as opposed to a lump expenditure of 1g+ for wheels and tires

keep in mind the intake and exhaust are primarily for sound. especially since you're going TRD.
(but trd sure does sound amzing)

are you set on trd intake and trd exhaust? not too much will be had in the way of gains with that combo.

if you get new wheels and tires, i'd get lowering springs too if you aren't dropped. in my opinion aftermarket wheels and tires on a car that isn't dropped just doesn't look right to me.

meh, id say get the trd intake and some other exhaust if possible im not a fan of the trd exhaust. this is coming from someone who has rims tires intake and exhaust. unless you really want the bling factor to get girls or whatever

edit: Id also agree w/ what was said before - wait for spring to mod the car, winter is rough

I wish I was getting xmas presents like that!

I'd go with the wheels, just based on price...

TRD parts are way overpriced, unless of course you get a discount.

You only keep the warranty if you let the dealer install it for you, if so, bring plenty of KY Jelly and plan not to sit for a couple of days.

^ Not true. The warranty doesn't void out. If the dealer is able to PROVE that said aftermarket part CAUSED the failure, then that repair will not be handled under the warranty.

1. Drop your car if you haven't.
2. Wheels and tires, but I wouldn't settle for TRD crap.
3. Happiness.
4. Intake.
5. Exhaust.

Or you can be reckless and do both

I've used 80% of my employer's bonus' to pay for any add-ons to my car. I'm strong believer that money should go to something fun not bills
My latest project is Suspension...I have lowering springs, rear sway bar in boxes and struts on order pickup.

I own TRD Muffler and CAI....I like them because I want the tC to be still stock but with little kick. They are both loud when you extreme leadfoot the gas and I like how quiet the muffler is when normal driving cause I work 7:00pm-3:30am.

I guess you can call me a TRD buyer but $260 per wheel for those TRD black wheels???? I priced a different brand: same color and same size....$700.00 for 4. I can get tires with them for that TRD price.
