so, yea.. i painted my calipers red a couple days ago and everything turned out fine. i did it at a friends house so when i was thru, i packed everything up and tossed in it my car. when i got home, i was HORRIFIED. the leftover caliper paint (in its can) somehow leaked thru a cardboard box, a plastic bag, and a sweater i set it on top of and stained my passenger seat! i rushed to walmart and some craft store and bought every stain/paint remover i could find. from goo gone to some miracle brush cleaner to paint thinner.. NOTHING worked. some stuff helped but theres still a bright red outline that wont come out! and on top of that, i practically scrubbed the sh*t out of the stain and made the spot all fuzzy. i doubt theres anything i can do now to remove the stain.. :oops:

the damn spot is killing me everytime i look over while im driving. any other miracles i should know about before considering a whole new interior? also, how much am i looking at for a leather interior installed? also, is there any way i can just order an OEM passenger seat cover?

and for a temporary fix, can anybody recommend any good seat covers that wont look too tacky in my tc?

What a drag. I would start saving for a leather interior. I think the tC is just crying out for leather. I've heard of people getting it done for 1000-1500, but I have no firsthand knowledge.

 

Take it to a leather place like SAT, they can match your panel for about 100.00 i have done this on a bug....nailpolish ughhhhhhh

 

Actually, there's somebody on the forums that wrecked his tC, do a search "tC accident" and send him a PM and see if you can get his passenger seat.
