Default invoice pricing for tCs...

does anyone have a ballpark estimate of what the invoice price of an auto 07 tC would be? like, the price before the dealership tacks on everything that they want to pricewise...

What does it matter? Do you need it for something other than buying? Scions have Pure Pricing and the prices are set by corporate and there's no negotiation. Any dealership caught charging more can lose the brand.

it just matters because i was wondering and wanted to know...i know about the whole pure pricing thing, but the dealership has to make a profit somewhere.

Invoice on a 2007 tC auto is $16,340 and sales for $17,200 (according to Edmunds), what's normally called a "five-up" deal in large ticket retail (5.26% to be exact).

and just to let you know you wont get it lower than $16,980 MSRP due to the pure pricing... no dealer would even try because if they do and scion corp finds out, that toyota dealer cant sell any scions any more.

well i appreciate the concern. its really not too huge of a deal, i was just curious. my mazda3 that some idiot kid totaled on Thursday was worth about 17k they said, even after it being two years old. so i'll be pretty covered, i only owed 11k on it still.

i was going to get another mz3, but i think its time for a change, the tC was the other car i was looking at at the time i bought the mazda, so i think im gonna go with the other car this time.

my mazda was black, i want the tC in white. cant wait!

hah its funny, i find a lot of people looking at the same two cars we did before choosing one of the two. my friend wo just got a tC was looking at the 3 too. i liked both cars a lot. still do, i went with the mazda because i wanted a 4 door car, and i got a MUCH better deal on the car than Scion was offering me...i just fell in love with the black mica 3.

i had plans to do some mods next spring, because the 3yr warranty wouldve been up at the time, but ya cant mod a totaled car thanks a bunch, damn 18 yr olds...

but yah...super white tC, here i come (hopefully soon)

Sorry to hear about ur 3, but I think u will like the tC just about the same if not more. The 3 was the other car I was looking at also when I purchased my tC. After test driving both, I was convinced to go with the tC! Just being curious though, u said ur 3 was worth 17k, What did u pay for it? Was it the loaded 2.3? Cause that seems like a good retail value to me!Good Luck!

it was the 2.0, but it had about every option that you could get installed into it. i think after everything it was around 20-21k...it was worth like 16.5k cause it was in perfect condition, it took sooo much care of that car that it was borderline ridiculous i think.

only had about 27k miles on it. Im not going to make that much off of it though, in the end im only going to get about 4-5 thousand. i still owe mazda money on it.

its funny how many people are left choosing between the tC and the 3. I'd get another 3 in a heartbeat if i didnt like the tC so much. i think going with the other car this time will be a good thing.

WOW! 27k in two years, I thought I was bad! I still think u got a pretty good deal though. I think u will be happy with the tC, enjoy and good luck! Oh by the way, What part of Jersey u from? I was born and raised in Union County, up until 2003.

I understand you can't negotiate base price MSRP.. is it possible to negotiate options at all? or is this the same case.

Pure price says no... anything that the dealer sells for Scion has to be posted online and in the showroom and everyone pays the same. The only thing that seems to change from dealer to dealer in my area is how much the doc fee is.
