Default IS300 Wheels on the tC?

has anyone thought of putting the 5 spoke wheels of the lexus IS on the tC? if i'm not mistaken the bolt pattern is the same so there should be no problem there. in fact the guys at the lexus forums are doing the same with the tC multi spoke wheels. they're not too happy with the multi spoke wheels on the IS and they want to see how the tC wheels would look on their car.

can anyone chop a picture of the wheels and put it on the tC?

Never thought of that, but those would probably look really nice.

hm, well unless they can re-cast the wheel in 5x114.3 it won't fit... i thought the wheels on the IS were eh when they only had them in silver... but i really liked the 5 spoke when they put the graphite finish on the wheels when i had my IS...

photoshop time..
time to make some tC owners drool....

but honestly, it has to do with ride hieght MORE than the rim design..
and theres plenty that are simular if not better looking that OEM IS300 rims...

i slammed the car a good 3" or so..

that's priceless

the picture looks a little wierd cause how the picture of the wheels and the car was taken. the finish on the graphite IS wheels are identical to the tC factory wheels and looking at the picture it looks different. i'am liking the thick chiseled 5 spoke look on the tC.

i likey deep dish mesh wheels if only BBS made their RS-GT wheels in our bolt pattern...

the IS wheels don't look bad! the graphite finish makes all the diff though.

i drove two hours to get a IS manual in black with the graphite polish w/o the nav and the wheels made all the difference in world. it had to have those graphite wheels vs the silver. the ones in my district that were available were 5spd with nav which i didn't need or they didn't have the nav but the silver wheels in black..

from Car and Driver magazine

"The tC's suspension setup is similar to the Civic Si's—McPherson struts up front and multilink in back—but the tC wears larger 17-inch split-spoke alloys shod with Z-rated 215/45R-17 Bridgestone Potenza RE92 tires, the same spec rubber used on some Lexus IS300s."

Default IS wheels

I think the stock wheel does nothing for the appearance of the tc. The IS wheels look much better. Too bad they don't fit. But then there's plenty of cool wheels that do.

its not the size that people are questioning but the bolt pattern.
