Default Issue: Stutter while cruising

I've noticed that when I hold a steady speed for a long time, my car will sometimes "stutter" for just a split second, as if it has cut spark or fuel. Is this a common problem? I've mostly noticed this on the freeway, and when I'm not using cruise control.

05 tC, manual.

i had the same problem with my tC too... i was running a uni-chip at the time, but i still get the little studder every now and then...

i was told that the fuel filter is integrated with the fuel pump inside the gas tank, is that true? if not, then how could i go about checking/replacing the fuel filter??

the filter is attached to the fuel pump assembly, take the lower rear seat cushion out (pull up and then out), disconnect the connections, take the cover off, fuel pump pulls out, filter is connected on the side(basic instructions).

Check engine light? i doubt it's a fuel filter, that would set off a slew of check engine lights.

check spark plugs and o2 sensor, it's likely one of those two.
