It's that time of the month, and dealers were supposed to get info on their next allocations of tC's on the 16th. How has everyone done? Anyone hear anything? I'm still waiting to hear from my dealer if he was able to get my tC.

Got stiffed again. 5 speeds with SAB are apparently the rarest variety of tC right now. My dealer's doing research to try and pull off a dealer trade, so I might get lucky. But it's sounding like another month before I get my tC.

I think you're right. I pre-ordered my 5sp w/side airbags back in early June, and waited a month for it to come in, and I think I was lucky. Contrary to what others have said on this forum, I think pre-ordering the car was the right thing to do, especially since I did it with my credit card and made sure it was fully refundable. If I didn't pre-order, I might still be waiting for my car.

My salesman said that it helps if you are flexible on the color, FWIW.

I am a very lucky person. I sent out a slew of emails last night after my dealer said I'd have to wait, and got a call today from Oakbrook Scion in Westmont - they have a 5 speed manual with SAB, silver streak mica, with floor mats.

I dropped a deposit on it immediatley; I pick it up this weekend.

My dealer says it will be 1-2 months just to get a manual in w/o SAB (san antonio), but I don't know if I believe him. I still put down an order and deposit. If I find out he's lying I'll go get that back immediately. He already told me something once and later tried to pretend like he didn't say it, or that I misunderstood him or something. Shady indeed!

Yes you did. Thanks for the kick in the butt - if things turn out smoothly, I'll have my car Friday night. :D

I just put my deposit down a week ago, but I'm also looking for MT with SAB, but to top it off I don't want a common color either. The official line is SAB could take up to 3 months, because they may have to factory order it. My dealership sells more Scions than anyone in the northwest, so if someone is going to get extra cars, it's probably them. The guy who owns them also owns a couple more, so I think they trade around pretty good as well. In all honesty I'm excited but in no super rush. It will come when it comes and by that time I'll probably have more money saved up too. Now that I have a deposit down I feel much more content waiting. In another month I'll probably be pretty antsy though....

I just picked up mine on Saturday.... it was two days short of two weeks! I consider myself fortunate, because not only did I get my car in a short amount of time, it came EXACTLY the way I ordered it.... the right color, trans and ALL the add-ons I wanted with NOTHING else tacked on. Thank you Scion of Glendora for making me a happy camper!!!! :D

I just spoke to my dealer and he said that my car wasn't on the allocation for Monday.. I've been waiting since the 3rd, so it isn't too long - yet.

He does seem to be on the ball though, which is good. Remembered exactly what was going on, what color and everything I want, and told me that I'm "going to get my Flint Mica, it will just be a little while".

Here's hoping for September 1st..

my dealer never called me back, didnt help me much, didnt even know they had trd springs already available! I was waiting 3 1/2 weeks, today i just happened to call a dealer farther away and they HAD the one i wanted (black 5spd) on their allocation, so I got a refund, and got it from the other dealer. Cause this dealer said i was 2nd on the allocation for a black 5spd, which is BS, cause I was first from what he'd told me b4! So i got my money back, and they said its ordered and will now be 7-14 days most likely...maybe a few more depending on how it comes from the port or whatever! YAY and they are gonna do the lowering springs since they know about them unlike my other dealer lol. HAPPY

Which dealer are you ordering from, ive had rather bad dealings with two of them here, as i saw a 5spd indigo ink base model at universal toyota tuesday when i went and put a deposit on my tC

Mine just came in 2day (Capitol Scion in San Jose)!!! 5 sp Flint Mica w/ a whole bunch o' ____ (except w/out the ground effects and fog lights I ordered). I went to go check it out. I was droolin'. Goin' back tomorrow evening to take delivery. The fools did a rush PDI and there were smudges all over the car and the windows were hecka dirty.

BTW, has anyone that has their tC noticed a long scratch near the base of the hatch window? I noticed it on mine as well as another BSP that was sittin on the lot only that car's scratch was not as defined. Looks like it could have been caused by whatever they used to hold the cars in place on the delivery trucks?? Haha, the dealer tried to tell me it looked like "adhesive". I said "Ahhh, no..." so he's gonna have them re-clean the car up by tomrrow.

Picked up my car last night at the rancho santa margarita dealer. They were awesome and it took about 4 weeks to special order the color I wanted Silver streak 5 speed. They were ready to install the parts I ordered but I wanted the car over the weekend to drive so ill take it back next week for the mods.

TRD Exhaust, Blue interior lighting, springs. I know for a fact that they have a couple white tcs on the lot not spoke for is someone wants one. Talk to Roberto. Great sales guy. Have nothing but good things to say. Another decient dealer is the one in Irvine. But say far far away from the Capistrano Scion dealer. Worst dealer I have ever delt with !!!!!
