It's official I hate winter!!!!!!
but of course mine is lowered front and rear to only a 1 finger width gap. lol. I can barely clear some parking lot entrance's or my own driveway for that matter. lol... put an inch or two of snow on that and Im screwed. lol.
But what do I care... I never take her out of the heated garage except on nice days and dry roads... Probably why I only have 7k on it after 2 years
yep... you're not alone.. in the great Rocky Mountain state of CO.

I am in the market for a small 4x4 truck. I feel like I'm risking my life when I drive my tC even on 2" of snow. It's the worst car I've ever owned driving in snow. Brand new tires and all...
When you say brand new tires, I'm guessing you mean all seasons? Invest in some decent snow tires and you won't feel the same way.
I have my stock wheels up for sale in the classified, but if they don't sell, I think you have the right idea.... mount some good snow tires on them and use them for winter.
I'm actually in the market for a small 4x4 truck though. Need it for hauling and I'll use that as my driver on snowy days in the winter, then just park the tC. Either way, I need to figure out something soon. Western PA is having one of the worst winters in history. Don't think this stuff is going to melt until May!

I hear you man, but once you drive with a full set of snows on *any* car, it will completely change how you feel about that car.
The other thing that makes me laugh is when people tell me they don't need snow tires because they have AWD, 4x4, etc. Because that's really going to help you stop any better? No, it won't. And that's where people run into trouble. They lose the ability to safely control their car once they are already moving.
I've gotten through winters before with all seasons. Of course you can manage, but why? Why worry about how much snow is going to fall, and instead be ready & waiting to pounce on it and test the limits of your new snow-monster? The tC is an absolute beast in the snow (with the right shoes). I have winterforce tires on her right now, and I haven't had a single close call yet this winter (knock on wood), and I put ~50 miles on her each day.
I wish the blizzard that pounded the south would have hit NY. Bring it on

The only problem I have in my tC is getting started from a stop, especially on an incline. Once I'm moving, I'm good to go. I am right there with ya on the people driving 4x4 who think they own the road - still need to take into consideration stopping! lol
