Default It's official she is totaled, what car to get

I was in an accident back on March 30, and it took this long for all the B/S.
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...225&highlight=

Basically what happened it that they tried to fix that car all $9,900 in damage. They tell me the car is ready its not and continued 2 more times and the last time my insurance company said it was ready and i must pick it up. *That was the very short story* as you can tell it all started March 30 and will be done May 27

Well they came and looked at it with me and it has allot of damage the was done by the shop and things that were not fixed. So they decided to total it. They are going to give me $14,290

So my problem it what car to get, i am thinking about
Volkswagen GLI or the 2009 TC

EDIT: also looking at the lancer GTS

EDIT2: Ordered a 2009 Tc i should have it into my dirty little hands by the end of next month.

The thing that sucks is i want the 2009 TC but i don't like that tail lights and will take about a month and a half to order. Also i would have to get a rental till then.

Any one have any input and anything that might help my confused brain.

Thanks in advance

I don't know if you are talking about the taillights you can order from the dealership, but when I bought my TC, they had the taillights in and installed for me 2 days after I bought the car.

no i think he means the stock 09 tails, which are 07 and 08 tails. imo they're ugly, get a used tc and save money, the rest go with aftermarket parts!

You can always buy my project tc I am ready to start my new project. Price can be lowered if you do not want certain items on the car. About as nice and completed as a tC gets! By the time you buy an 09 out the door tax title & license / a few mods you will be at or over $20K anyways. Few more grand and bam Super tc.

By VW GLI your talking about the Jetta GLI right? I would get the VW GTI over the GLI and you can get a 4 door one too if you need the extra two doors. But it really depends on what your looking for in a car.

Toyota>VW

the GTI look and perform great, but VW quality isn't the best from what i've heard--esp. when it comes to longevity. the GLI is a waste of metal, looks too boring imo.

as far as the tails, there's plenty of 05-07 that would trade yours for theirs.

Is, that supra in your profile actually yours and running? (i know a lot of people on this board just put family members cars in there)
Is this just a daily driver car for when you're not having fun in the Supra? If not, why get another tC?

VW > Toyota

I miss my tC because it was my first car, but I would get a Rabbit over a tC now that i've owned a VW.
Get the GLI with the 18" Hufeisen wheels.

She is mine and she has a blown head gasket, she blew 2 days after the accident.

I am thinking of selling the supra when she is back together and getting a Ninja 650r.

Check out the MS3. Not much more expensive and a hell of alot faster. I'm planning on trading the tC in for one in the future.

You're 18, you are going to pay twice as much in insurance as your car payment for a ms3
