I ordered some JDM air for my tires. I got the air canister overnight shipped from Japan.

Well there is the possibility that the tC shares a shifter with another car that has a JDM counterpart so it could still be "JDM".

It's amazing how much ricers are willing to pay if the parts they buy have those 3 letters attached to them.

i mean the perrin short shifter claims to be full adjustable from 0 to 200% idk? so that 150% doesnt seem that crazy?

"Perrin has put itself on the map with their practically fully customizable short shifters. This Scion tC Perrin short shifter allows you to adjust the **** height, horizontal position and shifter length. All of this can be easily adjusted from the driver’s seat, allowing the tC owner to optimize the best fit and feel of their short shifter. Optimization is great and allows the drivers to be the most comfortable when driving. Of course short shifters have a nice performance side to them as they cut down on shift time by making the shifter shorter and thus less throw. Perrin has made their shifter so that you can adjust the length of your tC Perrin short shifter from anywhere to 0% to 200% shorter than the tC's stock shifter. This creates a serious reduction in shift throw but also allows you to customize towards comfort."

lol wouldnt anything over 100% mean that it just switches the gears around? how can you shorten somethin by 200%? does that equal to flipping it over?

u might need a little dremel like thing to cut one of the washers off of the shifter assembly... well, thats only if yours came with an extra washer. other than that, simple simple.

Scion tC Tuner Rule 1: There are no "JDM" parts for your car
Scion tC Tuner Rule 2: Your car isnt a Honda

I would shy away from anything other than a few of the bigger brands and doc iso, with docs being way above the rest imo. Its made from stock shifters, the pivot is moved and the height is reduced. And kills the others pricewise.

As for the install. It really is a 30-45 min job if you dont buy a new cage, less if you buy the cage with the shifter installed.

A lot of people will scare you with the washer. Thin standard screwdriver and 30 seconds or so and it is off. The only slightly tricky part (and it isnt that bad) is getting the cap off the shifter, but with two prying tools it is pretty easy.

If you dont get a replacement push washer with the new one, you can buy them at a hardware store for about $0.25 or so.
