Josh's Build (Light Tune/DD)
What's up guys. This is the build. It's my daily driver, but she's still young. What up to all the CSM's keepin it clean.
So day 1, 3-19-2010 used with 6000 miles. Just because it was the first picture I took.

Same day.

About three months went by without changes. Then I woke up to my car window markered by a couple wild n' out females which looked something like this:

Then in September I started to tune. After finally deciding I wanted to add a spoiler I was stuck debating on which one to get. I looked at everything and almost went with the kami, but ultimately got oem pedestal. To all the nay sayers, try and see one it in person.
I used this step as a template for the latter. The tc does looks good slammed with a streamlined end, but it seems everyone is all over it.
So I had it painted and I put it on. At about this time I also replaced the wedges with 3 chip leds and had this.
A little winter downtime...

End of December. I noticed the drivers side headlight was leaking moisture and had it replaced under the manufactures warranty. Shortly after that I added DDM 35W 6000k HID's. Their products are awesome, cost to quality ratio is tremendous.

More winter downtime. About two months of bad snow here, so the 5 speed as she sits.

Near the end of January after deciding to move my car a little closer in the space, my foot slipped off the clutch and the front bumper became scuffed pretty bad. I ____ed up.

So I had a OEM shipped. No holes, no scuffs.

Once April arrived the installation started.

Mounting the fresh one, oh yeah added the VRD. Hands down the best looking grille.

After I got the bumper I also ordered the next two parts. The RS1 lip and the Tanabe Concept G:

I did so much research on systems for the tc. It was this way and that way. From the start I was set on the TRD but for what it is the price wasn't right. In the end it was down to the GReddy Evo2 and the Concept G. Can't forget the DD so I kept it light. If you haven't heard the Medallion yet, it's right there, one of the best sounding systems I've ever heard on the Scion.
Once I had all the parts I sat on them for a little so I could do the build all at once, no mistakes. I had the lip color keyed with the bumper. Before I completed the install I had the quarter panels and the back window tinted to 5%.

Thus the exhaust went on, then the lip.

And so here we are to the present. As she sits:

Me and the car haha.

Night shoot

So that's where I'm at. I think i'll focus on the wheels next.

FYI you don't have a "light tune", you have bolt ons. A tune is actually messing with the ECU and getting power. None the less, its simple and clean, but needs more to be considered worthwhile.
Its because my car is crap. Its nothing special in anyway, and when I get on it it sounds like garbage. Note how I'm not saying my car is anything special. And main point of my post was to let the OP know that a TUNE is a whole heck of a lot different then bolt ons. Real car talk on a scion forum, its scary sometimes.
EDIT: Forgot to add, that its amazing everyone wants to nut hug and call everyones car amazing no matter how simple it is. Note how I never said the car looked bad, its just another tC like the countless ones I see on the streets here.

I know you guys dont like anything the spicy dude says, but I totally agree with him. I dont think anyone considers the addition of a spoiler "tuning". And I dont understand why people have to emphasize the daily driven aspect of their tC. If you bought a tc as anything else than a DD, then I believe you have made a poor choice.
and to the OP, like everyone else said... drop it. I mean, you need a lower tune.

spicy, i think you're a troll but i actually agree with you.
spoiler, lip, axleback, hids, leds isn't any type of tune.
spicy you havent been trolling in my thread though. I'm putting the exhaust on next weekend and hopefully the headerS don't rasp.

I love how I'm "trolling" by spreading the correct information across this forum. Especially when the idiots agree. OP don't listen to "MrHat", you can only have ONE header on a four cylinder car.
