They already posted Dyno results at SEMA, 394.6hp at the wheels running 16psi.

That was my first reply when I saw that picture :D I've looked at it so much that I've been desensitized. But yea... I hear ya guys on that.

Just off the top of my head this is the work they did to it.

9-Compression Pistons by HKS
Turbo, BOV, Wastegate by HKS
Intercooler by HKS
Engine work done by some other company (name escapes me atm)

Plus more... can't recall everything, although if you asked a couple of days ago I coulda told you.

I think this would be able to beat Cybergypsy's civic si hands down :twisted:

I've been tuning cars for quite a while, and actually that's a hell of a good hp to $$$ ratio. A 286.5% increase in HP for 7k? Sign me up... anyways HKS is QUITE the expensive brand. You could go with a custom-built turbo system rather than a kit, save $$$, and get the same if not better results. It also depends on if you want quick-spool, lots of room to play around in (larger turbo), etc...

its going to be WAY more than 7 G's in parts..


if yo uguys havent notcied but the redline on that car isn the usually 6.2!!


is around 8.5!!!!!

can you say new cams? new crank? rod? pistons? sleeves?

AND TURBO!!!!!

geez thats 394 hp on LOW BOOST wonder how much on higher boost... 450? 500?

daily or drag?

The motor was custom sleeved. I would say $3-4k in motor work alone, then the ecu, fuel, turbo.

Add it all up, and it would probably be more than the car.

I thought there was no ECU work done to it, purely mechanical.

Its got a completely custom installed motec system. Best case your looking at $2500 in hardware. Wiring and tuning would EASILY be $1000+. Injectors, pump, lines, rail and fuel system is another $1000 easy. Exhaust, intake, intercooler, bov, turbo. Sleeving, pistons, rods, valve train. To build a car like this would seriously cost more than a new TC.
