Just bought new scion tc
Hey guys, im new to the forums so whats up, alright so i just bought a used 2005 scion tc, all stock, lip spoiler, thats about it....any ideas or tips that you guys could give me on upgrading this in a moderate price range, has 50k miles on it not used hard but all completely stock. So just gimme some ideas. Thanks guys.
I think it would be more helpful if you had an idea what you want to do with it.
That is, better handling? More power? Or a different look?
They are 3 completely different roads to go down. Personally I'd start with handling. Throw a rear sway bar on there and a set of TRD springs and you'd notice quite a difference in driving.

okay thanks, im not to sure what i really want to to do it yet. i want looks but not a fan of two tone, or body kits. Interior wise, new wheel, new shifter, prolly just throw in a short shifter. But any other things that would make the interior nicer?
I personally like my pedistal spoiler over the little lip spoiler that comes on the tC. It's all about personal taste and the tC needs a spoiler. The rear just is too lacking to not have one.
if you're thinking of looks, start shopping wheels. Look around for some ideas and see what you like before doing anything. And once you find a few ideas, feel free to make a thread and get some opinions.
Also related to looks... consider a lip kit instead of a full body kit. The OEM lip kit is pretty clean and the Five Axis kit is one of the best IMO. Ya, you're looking at about $1k +/- a bit, but keeps a clean look overall.
it is alittle to late for him to get one unless he wants to pay to get the holes filled from the lip spoiler.
I would keep the lip spoiler. Get a drop. I recommend H&R sport springs. A trd sway bar will work wonders. For exterior looks a lip kit is cool. i like them but do like the look of the stock bod lines with a nice drop and sporty wheels. Also what color is it?
But a CF looks good. it really dont save much weight in my opinion. It feels slightly lighter than the stock hood from feel. Maybe 10lbs but i scale will tell all. Anyways they are expensive even used. I just sold mine for 300. But just to let you know an intake, exhaust, headers, and pulleys dont do crap. Your mind will tell you different but its not any faster. Go turbo or go home in speed and power department. A shot shifter is a great investment as well. Doctor Isotope makes great ones.
GL and hit me up if you have any questions!

it will look good if you like that stuff. However don't buy the scion kit because it is very over priced. Check out oznium.com they have cold cathode kits for $7, which comes with 2 12" bars, then all you would need is a switch and some extra wire.
also if you want something else for the interior you might want to check out clazzio seat covers. you can get them at trdsparks.com or beangarage.com
