manual transmission, sticky tires, stronger clutch, engine torque dampner, nst pulleys, limited slip differential, but most important of all, practice!

yeah me and one of my buddies were cruising around lastnight with a stopwatch and we were bored so we tried gettting 0-60times lol i guess the results were fairly accurate minus a liittle human error, got 7.3's-6.75 for my car and his mustang GT got constant 4.8's lol. we did this on an empty road of course and it was real late at night. just wanted to know how to make the times better

Why NOS? NX, Venom, and a bazillion different brands would do the same. . .

Sorry to nitpick. . . it's just a pet peave of mine. NOS is a brand and it stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems. Nitrous is the operative word here.

I just hade that damn 2 fast 2 stupid B.S., and how it destroys the minds of car people. Next thing you know, people will be calling gasoline CHEVRON.

Ma whip needs dat mad tyte chevron, yo!

I caught myself saying NOS the other day to one of my friends, and I got a much deserved whipping.

its the same thing as offering a soda by saying "want a coke" when you know damn well you got a fridge full of mountain dew. coke is just slightly easier and quicker to roll of the tongue than soda.

and omg i hate it when people call soda "pop"...i mean seriously where do those people come from?

thats funny because i thought it was people from the west that call it pop because all my relatives from montana say 'pop'

so the south blames the north, and the mid-atlantic blames the north west...hmmm...

i'll get to the bottem of this...

If you're looking for a faster 0-60 you better get yourself to a car dealership -- 'cause you need to trade in the tC.

Thats one of the stupidest things I've ever read. Why would he have to trade in his tC to get a faster 0-60? someones not being constructive or helpful here, and that someone is you.

And me too. . .

But yeah. 0-60 times are going to be most affected by performance increases in 1st and 2nd gear (as they are the gears you will be using). Unlike quarter mile times, top end is NOT as important. Launch is a big deal, and launching a FWD car is the sucks. Sticky tires, LSD, Proper launch techniques, and good low end power would make drastic changes on 0-60.

Oh, sod off. You didn't add jack to the conversation. What I said made a clear, direct implication that if you're looking at bettering your 0-60 time you own the wrong car. And that, good Fahk, is constructive.

Measuring 0-60 is very difficult. By is the Mustand and tC upgraded? The Mustang GT is at best a 5 second 0-60...and thats for a PROFESSIONAL driver.

Anyways, the most important time on the sheet is the 1/4 mile. That's the time you want to build upon.
