yea. I know they stopped producing them since they weren't selling. I heard 800 somewhere but that seems pretty low. That would make the spec more rare then RS cars.

i don't think that they are limited. i think you can still order specs from the factory unless a dealer has them in stock (i could be wrong)...just like a regular tC just less of them...

They stopped producing them in November, unless all the dealers in my area were jerkin my chain. I called a few of them and all of them said that all they have available is whats in stock since they weren't coming in anymore. Unfortunately the only color available in my entire area was CSM. I wanted SW but figured CSM wasn't a bad color and settled for it.

The Spec didn't sell too well in my area, also. When I got my car at the dealership, it was the last couple of weeks of before '08s came into the lot, and they still had atleast 3 SW ones there. As I'm driving around town, I've only seen two on the road.

man, I love my spec. I've probably spend a total of 18-19k and have a nicely modded car. I'd recommend the spec to anyone who wants a little extra cash to spend on creative mods.

Collector car....I don't think so. If you keep it stock no changes or mods and don't drive it. You may also want to hang onto it for about 20 years before it starts to appreciate. It maybe worth something because of the age.

If you're looking for 2007 Spec tC that might take some time if you're looking for a particular color or one at all(no more production of the 07s). I just happened to find one by cruising through the dealer lot a couple of months back in SW, and they were closed. This one had NO options, exactly what I was looking for, but not the color. I went back the next day when they searched for a black one that was on any lots for the region at the time there was one in BSP in Texas and another in Louisiana. So I went with the one in TX even though it had floor mats and the iPod capable stereo. They still have the Spec package around for the 2008s but most likely it will be a special order(which was told to me by the salesperson). The dealer where I got mine from only has the same SW 07 Spec from when I bought mine and said they were the only ones hes seen before at that dealership.

Add me in to the count of the Spec owners with 2007 Black Sand Pearl. A long ways back when a thread was started about it I was saying if I could get me a new car it would be that. I own a 89 Celica w/ a sunroof and power windows and right now I have issues with the passenger window, if that' been my sunroof I wouldn't be to happy. That there is one of my reasons as to why I didn't want the reg tC, the moonroof, which is cool and all but that's more electrical work I don't wanna deal with. The 16s are a plus when it comes to different kinds of racing and autocross, less rotational mass. I'd love to get into some autocross but none are close to where I think it'd be worth the drive. There's also no cruise control which I haven't been in a car with one to use it, so that didn't bother me, and that lessens the weight a tad bit.

i think the idea is that if you buy a spec you're just going to replace the wheels anyways..

yea. I spent about 1000 on wheels and good tires(much better then either stock tire you get normally spec or not.) Meaning I still saved 500 bucks. Plus I got some features I wanted IE non opening Sun roof and better looking Headlights and Grill.

I own an 07' FM tc spec. Did a few mods already and loving it. Soon . . you won't even know i drive a spec! Just a little different in the looks . . but same engine. I still have the hubcaps on the tires . . sitting in the back yard . . still clean and only drove about 5000 miles on em' tires. Anyone interested???? I'm willing to sell em' . . . and NO i have absolutely NO curb rash on any of the hubs. Anyway, g'day . . .
