Just in: Do you think this is the next tC?
As it has been reported, Toyota and Subaru are working together on a new sports coupe. I just found this at carnerds.com and I'm wondering wouldn't this be a replacement for the tC?

yeah i know, but thought that it did follow the lines of the renderings we've seen since this info began.. would be cool if this was the next tC. Maybe Toyota is holding off of updating the tC because this would fill the spot?

Well that has certainly been rumored as an option - and a good option IMO. That's really what I'd like to be holding out for to replace my tC. Was still thinking about the RS5 for something different... but ya.

Nah I think it will be the new gen celica not bad/not good. They need to make an aggressive car these cars are too subtle and simple. The TC chassis is alright but they should have given the RS models the AWD from the avenis and the supercharger as standard. Then they could have justified an extra 3-4 grand more for an RS. I think toyota need some new blood in the family there is no more excitement in the brand.

thats a great looking car! totaly unlike evo X or si.. however the headlights remind me a little of the new honda accord
and i think the tails will be like from the first tCs, does anyone like those? i would like this to be the next gen tC.
and again, THERE IS NO AWD AVENSIS!
im super serial!!1
in addition, i would like to note that i think heres a lot of confusion. do you see that a lot of people expect this to be their desirable model? we aint heard an official word what its gonna be. subaru fans hope it would be a 2dr impreza, we would like (or some maybe not) it to be the new tC, the celica fans want it to be 8gen celica, supra fans probably wish for a supra, mr2 fans, subaru svx fans etc etc..

*sigh* I still don't think anyone should hold there breath about what this car is going to end up being..we're halfway through 2009 with the 2010 tC's coming out and still no word on whats going to happen as far as a "next gen" tC is concerned..

haha yeah I noticed that to..with that price tag this car doesn't seem like a good bang for the buck..that is, of course, if all those numbers they have so far hold true to the final production (if it ever gets that far) but still..for that price tag it's not much better than a civic si IMO
rather get a wrx, gen coupe or even pay the extra $5-$6k and get the new Camaro SS
