Because it's made for the Toyota Camry and not the Scion TC, but it fits still. The Camry has the second set of holes in the valve cover.
Sorta lame on that. I got the tC specific cover for 90.00 shipped.

I was very impressed with the quality of it too.

the one that the dealers r selling are better looking. Instead of a Toyota logo, it has a SCION logo now and it's got the VVT-I embedded on the cf engine cover. Costs abot 120 online.
