Scion has been changing out tires on a bunch of tC's lately. We've been getting normal tCs on the lot with Yoko's also, so I wouldn't be surprised if the RS1.0 gets them, too.
I'm sure the tire will work fine.
Your car is dope, BTW.

I was examining the tires and I noticed that they are Yokohamas AVS decibel dB 225/40ZR18's. I could've sworn I saw something different on Scion's gallery and decided to check. It turns out I'm supposed to have the Pirellis...
From what I have read on the internet, the Yokohamas are certainly very nice tires. However, they still aren't the ones that were spec'd for the EMX package (which is included with the RS). A comparion at tirerack.com shows a set of my 4 Yokohamas to be $72 cheaper than the Pzeroes. Is this just a cheap ploy by the dealer to make more money? Have the EMX package specifications recently changed? Has anyone else had this happen to them?
Thanks for your input.

I'm in SoCal btw.
After running acorss a couple other forum posts on the subject, I'm begnning to think it's not worth the fuss to get the Pirellis. The Yokos I've got are some of the best ultra-high performance tires Yokohama makes... I just wanted to make sure the dealer didn't give me a set of "economy tires" for the $$ I paid for the RS package. It seems like that the change is happening at the factory, too.
Again, my tC is currently outfitted with 225/40ZR18 AVS dB Decibel S2
Lookin' forward to putting some more images up tomorrow, especially after all the positive respone. Glad you like it.
Wow... I love the new pics!!! I am pretty sure it wasn't you because it was from a different dealer. Unless you were the one that pulled into the Target parking lot and you saw me drive away like a freightend little girl. j/k. I was just in awe of it.

18 Inch Volk Te-37's in black would look killer on that tC.

I suppose you could ask your dealer to swap... they'd probably charge you labor and the cost of the stock set though.
and just how much did you pay for red paint, front grill, battery tiedown, oil cap, and front strut bar 18" wheels added to the car??? looks nice though but im not a fan of red and they should have just put red stitching on the seats not colored the centers red.

A quick check at scion.com shows that purchasing the EMX wheel/tire package, strut bar, cap/tie-down, sills, and floor mats would cost $2,170, which is nearly $400 more than what I paid. And those accesssories don't include the mesh grille, red-accented seats with red exterior, the graphite finish wheels (love it or hate it
Anyhow, I checked the numbers before I got the package. They added up and I was confident the RS wasn't an overpriced ripoff.
