Default Just installed CC STS...

I just installed my CC short throw shifter, and it is pretty stiff I used white lithum grease, will it wear in ?.

Also any ideas of how trim the shift boot ? I want to keep the chrome ring that is on there.

Congrats on your short shifter. I have the same CC. I love it. At first it seemed pretty stiff and tough to manuever, but just give it about a week for the grease to settle in and lube up the plastic (eww) components that make up the shifter cage and the pivot ball itself.

As far as shortening the boot, you can either buy a shorter one or you can fold the existing one down to your lifing then sew or find a way to make it permanent.

Metal moon shape ? are you talking about the washer thing that has a cut in it so you can take the plastic piece off the bottom of the stock shifter ?

Wow I love this thing the shifts are great and the metal bushings make the shifts feel better, great shifter.

As for the stiffness it is getting easier to move

Thanks guys

Yea... mine was really stiff at the beginng it didn't even go back to neutral all the way. Now after 2-3 weeks it's nice and smooth again.
