Default Is it just me or do tc's have bad luck?

Ok so I have had my tc since august now and have been driving for 6 years. Ok so i've never been in an accident or even had someone hit my car in a parking lot or whatever, but since august i've been in 2 accidents and it seems like every other tc i see have some type of body damage from hitting something or being hit. anybody else notice this or have any stories to share... pictures even!?

It seems to me tCs mostly suffer from bad drivers, not bad luck. A majority of the "I wrecked my tC" threads here have been driver error (falling asleep, over aggressive driving, etc).

no such thing as luck, good or bad. luck is just probability taken personally.

i sorta feel the same way cuz i made a mistake when i stuck on a patch of ice in my driveway and slid sideways against my fathers van (not cool at all for the scion) and just the other day i came out side to my car after getting a haircut n some1 hit me...personally i think its because a lot of us put a lot of time n effort into our cars and thats why we notice damage so easily like my sisters car is scratched up all over but she doesn't care at all

dude it's the demographic
that's like saying ludes, rsx's and celi's have bad luck
it's the drivers

as far as dings dongs and dents in the parking lot, happens to everyone. it's definitely not car specific.

or people are so mesmerized by your car that they forget to hit the brakes ;P

Either that or the majority of Americans are inconsiderate a$$ holes and don't have any respect for other people's property.

Bad luck? I don't know, does replacing the front bumper cover TWICE in one year count?
Not one month after that I had to have a scratches buffed out by the dealership body shop on the NEW bumper cover. All of this due to road debris, piece of large truck tire, iron rebar, and wooden real estate sign posts.

Sometimes I feel that my tC is nothing but a big magnet.

yeah, the tC must suffer from some sort of bad luck virus cuz mine now has a slight crease in the lower quarter panel in front of the rear tire on the passenger side from another car's bumper. (Girlfriend had the tC that day and pretty much got forced to the inside of a right hand turn in a parking garage. Some idiot was speeding down the center of both lanes and almost hit her). The crease isn't extremely noticeable (unless you own the car, lol) but I'm glad it was that instead of the front end and my girl being in an accident. Was able to buff out most of the scuffs and it doesn't look like it got into the paint very far, so probably just go get the dent pulled and use my free touch up from the dealership.

I've had my tC for a year now & it still looks like it came out of the dealer. Only issue I had with it was 1 month after I got it I ended up having 4 nails stuck to two of my passanger side tires. Took it back to the dealer, hes like girl where the hell u been driving? either that or someone really hates you. Ended up spending $400... Grrr

I got hit 2 times on the driver side bumper, one on the passenger side bumper, 3 speeding tickets, 1 ticket for across red light, one ticket for tint problem for the first 10 months since the day I bought it. You are not the only one.

I had bad luck with my old one. someone bashed a shopping car into the drivers side and then a tractor trailer cut me off on the interstate, totaling it

no bad luck with the new tC yet...

Its crazy. Almost all the tC i've seen parked around my area always have dents the size of basketballs on their cars.

I'm cursed too. I've been rear ended twice, and my passenger door was on the business end of a whack from an F250's door. Although the odd thing...I've been rear ended twice, yet I have ZERO hatch rattles. Wonder if it actually bent something back into place?

If you want a car with a curse...

SRT-4

Stay the hell away from that car.
