Default Just Ordered a tC

I just ordered a Scion tC yesterday. I picked the mudguard option ($8 with the order. Now I think of it, I could have bought the mud guards from auto zone or something, put them on myself right? $88 dollars for 4 plastic mud guards now sounds like overly expensive for some reason. What do you guys think?

Yeah, that's what I think.

What about the CD changer for $395? Is that a good option to get? I don't mind changing CDs myself. I will be listening to mp3 mostly anyway.

Should have just ordered them online and installed them yourself. I got them from http://www.mcgeorgeparts.com for $28 or so, installed them with ease. If you do a search, you'll find threads already covering this topic.

most people are saying "what's the point in 6 discs when mp3 disc hold so many songs?" I personally like having a different style of music on every disc, so that's why I have the 6-disc. Plus, you can change the display color on the 6-disc :D

How long does it take to go from 1 CD to the next? I've found most dealer in-dash cd changers suck at juggling discs, to the point that they often require pushing the disc number button over and over until it finally decides to give in and select the disc you want.

it doesn't take that long for the disc itself to be changed... it just takes a little time for the laser to pickup. Depending on the type and amount of data on the disc, it could take up to 10-15 seconds for the player to read

For $400 you can get a much much much nicer aftermarket system.

i just ordered a tC Fridaytoo. i didn't want to create a new post on it... for whatever reason.

Flint Mica 5spd tc w/o side airbags. not sure what options i want on it. the blue lights seem like a cool idea, but i wouldn't imagine it going so well with the amber gauges and console.

hope you receive your car quickly. heh, is there a welcoming committee for new owners? :D

so basically its better (read: cheaper) to order all the little options online at mcgeorge and do it yourself than to have the dealer ship do it? hehe

For that price you can buy an iPod, or other mp3 player with mass storage, and the hook ups for it. BAM! ~5000 songs at your finger tips.
