it is not really restriction, but a filter for the air. they make cars for the everyday person. the k&n intake looks nice in that blue

I've been through Injen, AEM, and K&N on my celica. From my experience the Injen has best top end gains, the AEM has the best low end, and the K&N is better across the power band. This is all experience with my celica though.

Yeah, any intake alone isn't going to add gobs of power. Once you get the header and exhaust your gains should get better though.

Yeah, I don't think there is a header yet, an I/H/E setup on a tC with some sort of piggyback for fuel would be a nice little bolt-on/all-motor setup.

you were able to notice the difference? reason i'm asking is because generally the intake pipes are identical as far as size and shape. and then of course they all use the same filter (k&n makes AEM and Injen's air filters).

The K & N Typhoon is a CAI system since it gets air from the wheelwell and not the engine bay (as in short ram).

The bypass valve is patented by AEM, however you can get the right size and fit it on to the K & N CAI.
