so today the lock function on the key stopped working. the car will unlock fine but it won't lock using either of the keys.

 

any ideas? i'll be stopping by the stealership in the morning.

i've seen this happen millions of times. replace the battery. it is low.

 

this has happened to me a few times, as it turns out if you dont close the trunk or doors all the way then it will not let you lock the car via the keyless entry. The seal around my trunk began to come unglued and it was keeping the; trunk from closing all the way and thats when i would have trouble locking it. Just make sure everything is closed good if it is then it might be a battery or something else.

 

^x2 the factory keyless will not lock the car if either door or the hatch is not fully closed. I bet your hatch wasn't closed all the way.
