Default Knee room?

I've been seriously considering the Scion tC as my first car (in bsp) so I dropped by the dealership the other day to finally check it out in person. I was so dissapointed to notice that my knees hit the steering wheel column. The salesperson adjusted the steering wheel upwards but told me the seat was as far back and down as possible. This will be the first car I own, but I've been driving for a while and have never had this problem. Did I do something wrong or is the driver's seat a bit cramped for a 5' 11" guy? Hopefully I missed something.... The Scion rep could not seem less interested and he made it feel like I was wasting his time so I left.

Also, I noticed the tC has some nice thick brochures. It has two sides, one informative side for the 3 Scion models including tricked out versions (xB limo?) and the other random "hip" news. Also has a free mousepad and a little punchout thing u make into a tC .

I'm 6'3, 285 lbs. If I can fit, you can fit.

There is also a height adjuster lever. Did you push or pump it all the way down?

Dude, I test drove one yesterday and I fit fine...Actually had to pull the seat up a bit...I'm 6'2...so unless you're all legs, I could see that being your only problem!

Hmm, I don't remember having any problems with my knees and I would have noticed on my test drive. I'm 6'4 and 265lbs.

Keep in mind though, my only gripe (major gripe for me) so far is that the gas and brake pedals are too close together for my like. Although if you're not shoe size 14Wide you probably don't have much to worry about.

I'd try sitting in another tC. I have a buddy that's 6'8" and
he bumped a little. I think your 5'11" should be fine.

In the xB it's a whole nother story. Anyone with long legs
bumps the glove box when I tote them around, but not
surprisingly seem to fit fine in the back seat.

Has to be the height adjustment. I'm 6'1" and if its not all the way down I don't fit in it either. With the height all the way down, the seat all the way back, and reclined a little I fit just fine.

as well as the height adjustment (i'm 6'2 so have to have the seat at its lowest and further back), the rake adjustment for your thighs up and down can make a real difference too... i have my seat pretty flat and the tilt on the wheel is pretty low too, and i fit just fine... try it again!
