Default L.E.Ds for the parking lights

I bought some blue l.e.ds from Superbrightleds.com, to put in my tc, n so far i have replaced the two interior lights, license plate lights n now im tryin to figure out how to get to the the parking lights. I seen some really nice pics of people with l.e.d parking lights, so i decided to do the same. Should i take out the headlights first, n then maybe ill be able to see where the parking lights r located? i also looked in the drivers manuel but it doesnt really seem to help. help is greatly appreciated.

Replacing the parking lights will be easier to do by having the headlamp removed, but it requires more work to unbolt it all. If you have small hands, you can use your thumb and index finger to rotate the piece then then pull back and then swap! You can look through the headlamp to see which way you turn the piece.

dude nooooo dont take the headlight out! lol
i ordered the same 194 type bulbs from superbrightleds.com... the 6led wedge type 194... [the brightest they have] in blue.. and i installed them last night... when the sun was going down.. but i didnt have to remove the headlight. the back of the parking light is right below the low beam light/harness. it takes a bit of turning it to unlock the bulb from the locked position.. but it i think was the only hard thing... i actually bought 2sets of led bulbs... the 9 led wedge type 194 in blue.. and the smaller 6 led wedge 194 type... but decided to install the 6led.. because it looked like a nicer cleaner.. brighter blue.

I removed the headlamps and was finally able to get like half of my hand around the back of the parking light, n ____...... that mother____ers hella hard to turn!. Because my hands are so god damn big, i barely was able to use my thumb n index finger. So ill probably give it another shot later on, after I find someone with little hands. Its alot easier whith the headlamps off ... thanx zlite.

I've had Superbriteleds.com stuff in my car for about a year now with no problem, is your plug getting wet and shorting them out maybe? That happened to me twice with my aftermarket headlamp bulbs at $20 A PIECE!
FYI, LEDS will outlast incandesent bulbs by a longshot.

I thought the parking lights were going to be a real pain to change. It's actually quite easy. If you put your hand on the parking light harness, and look at the parking light from the front, when you wiggle it, you can tell which way to turn it to unlock it. Mine took less than 5 mins. for both. Click my Profile for pic of green parking light. :silly[/i]

i put my green ones in last year when i got my car and they r still green. i put red ones in my wife's tc and hers burned out. i think green and amber last the longest. as for red and blue, they r a ticket waiting to happen and the color fades in a month

I'm sure its been posted somewhere, but I searched and couldn't find it. I was wondering what type of bulbs the license plate lights are.

The LED's suck, they're too omnodirectional and weak.

I put in amber, and then upgraded to PIAA Crystal Ion wdges, they are über bright. I even had 1 spare (long story) which I put in the middle dome light socket - that works well, becuase the middle is general and the left and right which have the LED's in them are very focused.

My 2cents would be find colored wedge bulbs (someone must make them, and use them, LED's just aren't designed for this application).
