I bought one right off the lot. Up here in Wisconsin both of our Scion dealerships in Madison just have cars sitting on the lot waiting to be sold.

I hope so! 10 weeks sounds like a bit much. Did you order a lot of speciality stuff for the car?

My wait was a week, but I also got lucky with the shipping schedule. They happened to have a car that was exactly what I was looking for.

I bought it off the lot... 5 speed FM. I did have to wait overnight for my insurance to get straightened out before I could take it home though.

I had a chance to get a SSM tC the day I went in to talk to them about the tC.

But I opted for Black Sand Pearl, passed up on the SSM, thank god, b/c the

3 MONTH wait

was WELL worth it!

Mine took 3 weeks between request and delivery. The car was scheduled to be shipped down to LA but they got it before it left Japan and sent it up to Tacoma instead. Dealer told me it was the first BCP tC they had sold all year. Guess it just depends on your luck!

Where are you located? Have you done a thorough dealer search using the function on the Scion website? Use that feature of their website and expand the search area.

Most dealerships have an active inventory tool to see what they have. You might get lucky and find what you are looking for.

One more suggestion is to ask in the section of SL regarding your particular area about reputable dealers. Some are better than others.

I went through these steps and found the car I wanted one day from port. I wanted side airbags in an AP and thought I would have to wait months. I sincerely think it was chance that the dealer had what I wanted in the color.

You should search for your car w/o all those options. They can add them on after they get it and I believe it is the same cost. Better yet dont get them from the dealer because they rape your wallet.
Good luck.

What I did was there were five Toyota dealerships in my area (more if I were willing to drive for more than 20 minutes) and the last one had the one I wanted on the way in a few days.

I called 3 dealerships in the area.. Naples, Ft Myers and Punta Gorda... Naples didn't have any in stock.. Ft Myers didn't have any.. but Punta Gorda did and I got a 5 Speed Super White there.. I wanted Flint Miica or Silver Streak Mica but I didn't have the patience to wait for it., so I bought the Super White.

the quote I recived was first 4-6weeks for a flintmica5spd. then they added 2-3more so I count 9 right there. I was told that that color was the most popular and the least produced. the demand seems to be growing by leaps and bounds, because the wait gets longer.

i was told the same thing that the flint mica was popular and i would be lucky to get the color, got it in about almost 2 months, got side airbacks though didnt order it, but better off with them i guess, i still had my civic so i wasnt in too much of a rush to get it in, good luck to you on your wait.
