Default The Limits Of our cars

What are our limits ? I Mean we have all seen crazy horse power TC's on the drag strip, but on the street what are the limits of a TC, what is going to far? from a performance aspect what are our limits , when does it become to much or is it never to much ?

Yes I agree with AcidDrop.

Congratulations, but please do not race on the streets.
We do not want cops around the nation targeting scions
for being modified. Especially when most of us just mod
them for shows and not for racing.

yeah, we know what our cars are and aren't. and alot of people here don't like street racers. racing on the track is great, but don't talk about it on the street here.

as for limits, there are lots of cars that will kick the $h!t outta the tc. rsx type s, impreza wrx and sti. mustang v6 and gt, gti, mini cooper s etc.

ya man, cut that stuff out as it gives every other scion in the world a bad name, and a reason for the cops to watch us more closely now

I don't think I've seen you. Where do you usually hang out? I can usually be seen driving up and down Topanga to the 101. I live by Roscoe.

Wow people, you sure bash without reading closely... The way I read it: he wants to know what's too far for the street. When do you stop and just make it a track car. I think he's asking when is power too much to even drive it on the street. I don't think he's talking about racing on the street rather than what's the limit for modifications before it's not really street worthy. I don't, in any way, see where he says he is going to street race.

There was a street race out here in Southern California,
a mother and her 2 kids were killed, I heard that the family
is now suing the car manufacturer. Sounds bogus to me, but
still, I don't think we need cops around the nation taking
scions away because they are modified (for "street racing")
when most of them are modded for shows.
And people, stop using this as evidence to prove your point. Yes it's sad but here's the deal: old people who can't hear or see motorcycles kill people, drunk drivers kill people, people driving their ford Taurus who are really tired and doze off kill people, people driving too fast in the snow kill people, Chuck Norris and Jack Bauer kill people, people driving huge trucks and don't give themselves enough time to stop kill people, people multitasking while driving kill people... shall I keep going?

It's one story. Yea it's dangerous and I'm the first to agree it's not a good idea, but you people are using it to bash others and I don't think that's right. Truly understand what someone is asking before you smash him.

(if he really was talking about how much he can do to his car to make it a street racer than I take my opinion in his defense back)

He edited his original post to omit his street race. Anything else he needs to know can be found making judicious use of the button.

Yeah, you missed all the fun. The original post was all about illegal street racing. He basically changed it into a completely different topic, and now the people who bashed him end up looking stupid.

/ Thread destroyed.

An engineer at toyota told me that the scionj engine is exactly like the 2JZgte(supra turbo) motor but they just took off two cylinders. So the engine is same to at least 450 wheel hp

Rodc is telling the truth after seeing a few posts i decided to edit my original post but Ros now that it is edited what do you think. . . what is to far for a streetable TC should we try and push 450 or more to the wheels or is that just out of control, and those of you that bashed are correct street racing isnt good but i'm sure that everyone has done it at one point whether it's in the 89 corolla beater that was you first car or your new TC sometimes we just go with it and RUN it some ways it's what connects you to your car
