Default looks as though the Tc and i will be spliting ways soon

i'm going to college for free so my parents offered me and new car and it won't affect the money saved for college already so i believe i am going to go with the new VW r32

shockingly enough, its cheaper on insurance with full coverage than the tc

i believe i will be making the trade 2 weeks from now about mid week, ill post pics as soon as i get it

do you the scion life community have any thoughts on this?

smart move with the new r32.. only offered in automatic, but its a wicked wicked car. Not as quick as the STI or EVO, but a much better daily driver, and looks 10x better IMHO.

Great choice, good luck with the car - and you better do well in college!

sports scholarship?? if yeah, what sport??

i personally don't do VW and Audi (b/c of reliability and cost of upkeep), but i think the R32 is the nicest out of the VW lineup. Be sweet if it came in a 6spd.

i wish it was sports but the only sport i have played in high school is lacrosse and i am/was not spectacular at it. its only academics hahah and its a state school. i got into georgia tech but its 35,000 a year and i would be doing architecture so i would be in there for 6 years

too bad they don't offer the 4 door r32 in u.s. or even the racing seats for that matter

shoot academics is a sweet deal too, at least you know you don't have to worry about losing it to injury. and it'll motivate you to keep the grades up. what school?? i just asked if it was sports because i wanted to see if i saw you on t.v. haha.

i love the art of architecture. are you trying to do residential or commercial architecture. i'd love to get into the field of interior design, so it goes hand-in-hand w/arch. hence my fascination. haha

as far as the car, bump it it's free. if my parents were able to get me a car i wouldn't have given two goodness' what was on it, esp. a car that not cheap and def. sportable. it's def. a step up inregards to the tC as far as power and handles.

true, im going to university of tennessee at knoxville. hopefully i will get into somewhere like virginia tech or harvard for grad school, they have several people go there a year from utk. i am going to try to do residential

as far as handling, i test drove one this week and it is like a surgeon's knife and the tc is like a butter knife. the steering its amazingly steady and responsive. you kind of have to be care about upgrading the mkv r32's though b/c the dsg tranny limit is around 300hp and its already at 250hp. i am still trying to find out a reliable 0-60 # though b/c car and driver says 5.5, someone else said 5.4, vw says 6.5, its quite befuddling.....but a good problem to have

Well the new R32's look sweet and sound nice but i think its stupid to have made it DSG only. You cant do much before you meet it power limit. Although im sure they will eventually change it or maybe you can do a swap with the old R32. Oh well not my cup of tea. But hey congrats on the full ride thats awesome and if you like it get it.

actually i am not disappointed about it not being a manual. its faster than a manual and people like HPA motorsports have upgraded clutches for it now up to around 500hp now

dubberat, do you have an r32?
