I got bored last night and made a board thingy... Not that I have a lot worth putting on it, but I think it looks kind of cool and turned out pretty nice.



I've been through a few drafts on it, and so far I'm pretty satisfied with this version. What do you think?

And if you're going to comment on just the content and my "mods" ... don't bother. I know what I put on there and what I'd like to put on there - this post is about the design.

 

I like it, looks very nice. I like how you have the personalized plate very noticable on the board as well as the eyelids and scion deflector sticker. Very nice board.

 

Thanks! That's actually what I was going for. I was trying to place it so a few things were noticable (the front tire as well, sort of). I had attempted this a few times before but never liked the result. I may actually print this on a nice color printer at work.

 

A couple minor tweaks that I'm not sure about yet... Different color header box and different font for the SSM. I also changed the aliasing for the content fonts and tweaked their positioning some more.

 

Very Nice. I have to make one up for the upcoming shows. You gave me some ideas.

They make Fireworks for Mac.
Stock software (OS X) I'm not sure if there's anything that can do it.

 

^ I don't recall anything on OS X out of the box that would do it. But you can download a 30 day trial of Fireworks from macromedia.com if you want. You have to "sign up" though. But it's free and they don't spam you.

One last change... haha... ya, right. I made it a tad wider and taller for the printer I'm sending it to. Now there is just about 1/4" border around the whole sheet.

 

So we made a real version 2.0 tonight for my g/f. Here's what we came up with.
